Sommario/riassunto: "The fifteen pieces in this volume span the major styles of organ composition practiced in France, Germany, and Central Europe in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Included are works by George Philipp Telemann and Michel Corrette, as well as several anonymous pieces from the Brasov tablature, a manuscript of keyboard and organ music compiled between 1680 and 1684 in Kronstadt (now Brasov, Romania). The works encompass both chorale- and plainchant-based genres as well as free compositions, with and without pedals. All are of easy to intermediate difficulty and ideal for both service playing and concert use."--Back cover.
